A current dues paying member would invite a friend or family member down to our Lodge to see what we are all about and to meet other members and their guests. This is usually done at a function, such as a Fish Fry on Friday nights. If the friend or family member likes what they see, they can sign up to be a member by filling out an application and submitting one years dues plus enrollment fee. This application is given to an officer, who sees to it that the application is sent to our Application Review Committee, she is invited to attend an Orientation Meeting and then voted on upon the members at a Business Meeting. Once one receives a favorable vote, a letter is sent to the applicant informing her that she is a member. She can stop by to receive her Key Card at any Women of the Moose Fish Fry (1st Friday of the month. Then her journey of fun and a lifetime of personal gain begins. The Women of the Moose at Mooseheart International have designed a very successful journey of personal honors and awards to maintain the highest level of fun. During her first or second year a new member can assist her Chapter by becoming a Development Chairman. She will attend meetings and provide at least one function and Fundraisers. She will have a Chapter night at which she will give the Senior Regent checks to be sent to Mooseheart and Moosehaven. With a lot of hardwork and fun the Chapter and its members will succeed at making Award of Achievement and personal honors. The first such personal honor is Academy of Friendship. This is the one degree that most women look forward to. Once a month Academy of Friendship at our Lodge holds a meeting for eats and fun. On occasion the Academy of Friendship members go on outings outside the home Lodge. As co-workers hold offices and chairmanships they can earn more honors. With all these personal honors and fun we keep in mind at every event the sole goal...... Mooseheart and Moosehaven. Please take the time to review Mooseheart, Int'l website at Mooseheart.

Message from the Senior Regent We still have a huge challenge in front of us to increase membership. Remember membership is the backbone to our organization. Sign-up a new member today. Thank you to everyone who comes down and enjoys the activities put on by the WOTM and LOOM. We could not continue with our donations to Mooseheart, Moosehaven and Moose Charities without you. Check your calendar for Enrollment dates and other upcoming events. I would like to encourage more of our members to attend meetings and volunteer to help out. Martha Coco, Senior Regent

As I entered the Torrance Memorial Blood Donor Center I was reminded of how I used to donate often, but for so many reasons have not done so in years. Los Angeles County uses 1,000+ pints per day. Red & White Blood cell units can only be stored 35-45 days. Blood donations SAVE lives. We need you . . . Call today ... Torrance Memorial Blood Donor Center at (310) 517-4647 or Little Compnay of Mary in Torrance at (800) 469-9555. Be sure to mention of you are on prescribed medication. ****Deborah Story
